Maine Thrive Voices Founding Ambassador seal — Nancy Marshall, The PR Maven, Est. 2026

One of One

Maine Thrive Voices was built on a simple belief: when Maine businesses tell their stories, Maine thrives. Twelve founding guests gave this show its first chapter. The Founding Ambassador designation marks the start of its next one — and it belongs to exactly one person, now and always.

It is not a sponsorship. It is not a seat that rotates. It is a recognition, established in 2026 and never to be duplicated, of the person whose career is living proof of everything this show stands for.

Why Nancy Marshall

Nancy Marshall trademarked herself. The PR Maven® has been doing public relations for more than forty years, and her agency, Marshall Communications, celebrates its thirty-fifth anniversary this year with a client list that reads like a tour of the Maine economy — the Maine Office of Tourism, Orvis, Wyman’s Wild Blueberries, Puritan.

She brought a live Good Morning America broadcast to Sugarloaf. She landed a page-one Wall Street Journal story. She flipped a raft with Bill Green in Class V whitewater because there’s nothing more visual than boiling water and a boat going over. And four decades in, she still asks the question her mentor Chip Carey taught her on the mountain: how can I create a circus parade?

That is visibility, built the Maine way — earned, genuine, and generous. It’s what this show exists to teach, and Nancy has been proving it works since before most of us knew the word for it. There was only ever one candidate.

The Ambassador’s Role

As Founding Ambassador, Nancy carries the mission of Maine Thrive Voices forward: championing the idea that every Maine business — the plumber in Hermon, the shop owner in Old Town, the two young women running a Midcoast vacation rental company — deserves to be found, known, and talked about by the right people.

And the next chapter is already scheduled. Nancy’s third book — on why old-fashioned public relations is exactly how a Maine business gets found by AI — launches within weeks, and she has promised to come to Bangor and record her next episode in person. You’ll hear it right here.
